
In mid August, I was contracted to do a food shoot for Baleen Restaurant at the Hotel Portofino in Redondo Beach, CA. With the addition of a 1.5 stop light contol mesh over my back deck, I decided to take some equipment out of the studio and into the world of controlled sunlight. With the help of a few reflectors and backdrops, some interesting food shots were achieved. I am not thrilled with the compositions here, but it was a fun test. I just wish I had more hands to be able to cook more dishes for this test.

On a photo shoot for the Cap Juluca Resort in Anguilla, British West Indies, I was asked to take a few quick shots of some menu items while I was sitting at dinner. The trip was to shoot the photogrphy for their website that I was designing, www.capjuluca.com, and shooting the photography for by day.
